Roll Gardens, IG2

The property is a typical mid-terrace 1930’s style house situated in a predominately residential area of Ilford, Essex.

The aim of the project was to create an overall master plan for the enlargement and internal re-modelling of the house.  This included substantial alterations to the existing ground floor layout, with the erection of a single storey rear extension. 

The conversion of the loft void area provided an additional bedroom with en-suite facilities.

The client’s stylistic preferences was to create a contemporary living space, without being too harsh and minimalist.

The project should take advantages of the potential for introducing as much natural light as possible into the interior spaces. Artificial lighting of the internal areas will also be very important.
