This project involved the total strip out of an existing, purpose built, one bedroom maisonette located within a large Victorian mansion block near Battersea Park.

Our client, a young and busy restaurant owner, wanted create a thoroughly modern and sleek interior devoid of any ‘fussy’ detailing or period ‘features’.

The existing layout was also very cramped and awkward to use. We changed the layout by removing the internal load-bearing spine wall to create a large open plan living and dining space with natural lighting from both front and rear elevations. We relocated the new kitchen to the half landing rear addition for better access to the dining area. In the basement, we formed a large en-suite bathroom and new bedroom.
